For more than 4 decades, Funda CTC has provided all people with access to education, irrespective of race, colour, creed or geography. During the apartheid era, we broke down barriers through interracial education and played a significant role in offering education – Funda gave hope to a community traumatised by violence and the collapse of social system by providing facilities for alternative education as well as political meetings and cultural events.<\/p>

Increasingly training is seen as a vehicle of transformation\/empowerment of society\u00a0 characterized by socioeconomic inequalities. Therefore Funda Community Training Centre is a community oriented skills development training centre and job creation conscious institution.<\/p>

Through Funda Community Training Centre a skills model called the Youth Entrepreneurship and Learnership Lab was created whose focus is concentrated on previously disenfranchised youth in Soweto and surrounding townships<\/p>

We are driven by the values of social justice and excellence with integrity, all while ensuring that we produce excellence in scholarship and research.
